Ozone O3 is a three-atom molecule of oxygen and consequently an energy-rich form of normal atmospheric oxygen. Because of its immense oxidising power and its distinct disinfecting properties it is worldwide used for water disinfection and drinking water treatment.
Medical ozone has a distinct bactericidal, fungicidal
and viricidal effect and is therefore suited for a broad spectrum
of applications, such as disinfection of infected wounds, fungal infestation and mixed
infections.
Its circulation-enhancing properties are used to treat circulatory
disorders and to promote revitalisation.
At low concentrations it strengthens the body’s defences, i.e.
the immune system is activated.
During major autohemotherapy small amounts of ozone are administered (extracorporeal blood treatment), which activate the body’s antioxidants and radial scavengers.
Furthermore, ozone has a haemostatic effect, is suited for wound cleansing and supports wound healing as it improves local oxygen supply in the region of the wound. Therefore it is often used for treating chronic inflammations.
This explains why the ozone therapy is used to treat chronic inflammations.
Medical ozone therapy is applied as individual therapy or in combination with Oxygen Multistep Therapy. In combination with Oxygen Multistep Therapy the effect can be intensified.
